Seagulls on posts
perched on a bridge
that stretches farther than most
something reminds me
how i think of you now
when i'm alone
 
but loneliness hides
within all the craziness
i need to survive
despite the retracing
of a past i can't find
in words i write
 
and now as i recall them
the parts i wish i had forgotten
if only i could draw them
be sure it wouldn't be

walking through town
little surprises me
i look to the ground
this place holds nothing for me

and strangers come to greet me
