Rise

Another year has gone without a trace
it seems that life enjoys it's slap in the face
beaten down and pushed against the wall
but if i stumble when i walk, i will crawl
I will rise and fight off the world again
i will rise and stand against it all
i will rise to be, whatever i believe, i will
To try and give up now is such a waste
yes it's easier to quit than finish the race
the times are hard and rough
but that should give you a desire
it's the thing that takes me higher
it's the life i aspire
just when you think you have got a grasp
But for some reason it won't ever last
what will i do when i feel like letting go
i know...i know...
i will rise
