Standing in the line of fire
caught within the reign
walking on a tight rope wire
fear of falling from the pain

the war machines keep on turning
time and time again we're learning
cries the echo in the distance
thunder pounding out resistance

young or old there's no distinction
for everyone must fall
flames from hell
they keep falling from the sky

can't you hear them calling?
can't you see them fall?
the sands of time will wash away
but the memories, they will stay
