I lie to protect myself and
i make up stories to seem exciting
i need security of people liking me
i can't be boring or else they will hate me
But i can't quite figure out how they could like me
for who i am
how pathetic is my life?

I lie to have attention
i get it by pretending i have things i don't have
like the cabbage patch kids that the girls have
this lie i've taken too far (wish i could take back)
