Was a storm that washed me ashore
An internal civil war
My soul adrift, my body moored

A lullaby from a cave by the coast
Like a gentle, familiar ghost
Beckons with a steady pulse

Shut the blinds and

A narrow hallway
Like a cave that leads back to the start

A door closes, a window opens

In this cold, horizontal abyss
A welcome paralysis
My new home, a chrysalis
