Letra de Birds
Otto Dix
Black birds in cages are sharpening.
The prophetic birds, the God’s crows.
By the sky damned, by earth not adopted,
By Devil abandoned and by God forlorn.
Black birds flying above the city
Birds, which can the God make starve.
Prophetic songs sing, by all unallow
God’s angels, no one had christened.
Black birds, which gather in flocks
Endlessly try them with God to dispute
In prayers and cries threatening they put
Adorning with roses the crown of thorns
Black birds fall in love with the sky.
From unrequited they dive in abyss.
Heart – turn to ruins and broken are wings –
That like the God’s crows doomed themselves to die.
The prophetic birds, the God’s crows.
By the sky damned, by earth not adopted,
By Devil abandoned and by God forlorn.
Black birds flying above the city
Birds, which can the God make starve.
Prophetic songs sing, by all unallow
God’s angels, no one had christened.
Black birds, which gather in flocks
In prayers and cries threatening they put
Adorning with roses the crown of thorns
Black birds fall in love with the sky.
From unrequited they dive in abyss.
Heart – turn to ruins and broken are wings –
That like the God’s crows doomed themselves to die.
