An eclipse of nine

Our mission to recover the downed satilites.
Wherever we are out by some stars.
Slowly make my way through the ships airway.
A pull, a look behind my tethers snapped and I’m pushed out the hatch.
Floating away, into space.
This could be goodbye. It’s no surprise.

This is the life, that we chose when we took flight.
To go into space. Dangers we’d face.
No chance for goodbyes, it’s no surprise.
To see space in their eyes.

There must be something we can do.
The colonel’s floating somewhere out there.
The rescue is planned, the misson be damned, cause he’s a good man.
Chart his course, wherever we are out by this star it’s not far away.
Cause we’re bringing him home.
He’s flaoting away, further in space.
